Age Discrimination

Tonight I was going through pictures and I found a picture of me when I was almost 2 years old. Caden looks at the picture and ask me, Mom why is that picture in color? I reply What are you talking about, why wouldn't it be in color. He said Because your old and I didn't think there were colored photo's back in your day.
Really?!? I'm NOT that old!

June through October

Where were the Hughes this summer?













This almost sums up our summer. We had a great summer of fun and activities and no schedules (atleast for the month of June) It was such a blast just hanging out with the kids.

The haircut

My son really does not enjoy getting his haircut. It usually involves lots of begging, pleading and bribing on my part and lots of crying, whining and protesting on his part. I try not to force it on him too often, but when his hair is long enough to go in several small ponytails, it's time to boy up and get it buzzed.

I HEART my family

Even on crazy days that are non stop and the kids are fighting and no one is listening to me and I have to repeat my request to my child 6 or 7 times before they finally start to listen, I really love my life and I am exactly where I want to be. I have an amazing husband, partner and best friend. He is so good to me. I am so grateful for him in my life.

I know how lucky I am to be able to have the ability to stay at home with my kids and get to spend every waking moment with them. I cherish the time that we have together.

24 hours is not enough

I have come to the conclusion that there are just not enough hours in the day to get everything accomplished on my to do list. I tried cutting back on what I put on my list and focus on the 3 most important things to do in a day and that just left me a mess and my kids without underwear for a day. Maybe I could give up sleep. Is it really necessary? Someday I think that I will finally be able to check everything off that never ending list!

Distracted

Yes, it's true, I have done it once again. I have had so much to do and so little time to do it in that I got distracted and neglected my blog. I am not supermom. But I have heard the outcry for my blog to be updated and I will give you a quick glimpse of all the things I have been doing in the past 2 months.....birthday's, spring break, Easter, trips to Chesterfield, Maggie FINALLY getting teeth, running 5k's, nursing a stress fracture, making dresses for the girls, Jeff's graduation, field trips, trips to the park and of course Facebook. I have been a little busy. I have lots to share and pictures to post. I will try to be more diligent now that school is out and I have Jeff home every night. For now I will leave you will a few candid pics of my cute kids.
